Community Update — Venture Round Vesting Schedule Changed, Potential VC onboarding, Project Acquisition, KelVPN
Transparency to the community is our foremost priority, thereby we’re following up with our second community to keep everyone updated on what’s going on behind the scenes.
Venture Round Vesting Schedule
We have listened to the community and have decided to change the venture round vesting schedule from 12.5% per week to 6.25% per two weeks, starting from April 7th. This decision was made to align the previous vesting schedule to a healthy market cap — token distribution.
Angel Investors and VC Proposals
As mentioned in the previous community update, we had several requests from angel investors and VCs for OTC deals. We recently received a proposal from one of the top VCs that would accelerate the Cellframe ecosystem — and to validate their long-term commitment they’re willing to take the same vesting as the team. We’re in close talk with the VC and will update any process on this.
$10M Cellframe Ecosystem Fund
The amount of interest has exceeded what we expected, and we’re excited to announce that we’re at the final stage of finalizing our first acquisition. As promised, more information and details about the Cellframe Ecosystem fund will be shared in our multi-parted Ecosystem Fund introduction series.
First Cellframe Cellchain: KelVPN
As everyone may already know — the first Cellframe Cellchain is KelVPN, the first deanon-proof and quantum-safe decentralized VPN powered by the Cellframe Network. We’ve been working closely with the KelVPN team for years, and are very excited to have them as the first official Cellchain on Cellframe.
Cellframe is a quantum-resistant layer-1 network focused on facilitating secure and scalable cross-chain transfers. Cellframe aims to create an infrastructure for decentralized low-level services through its multichain nature. It is quantum-safe — it uses post-quantum encryption by default. Cellframe is built from scratch with plain C, which results in more efficient utilization of CPU and memory.
